Hi, my name is Helen and I am from Sweden. I have over 12 years experience in childcare ranging across all ages. After having my own three children, I have decided to (re)turn to a career I always loved: childcare!
Coming from a large family myself and being the oldest of many siblings, I have adopted a friendly childcare-style which is similar to the one found in a home with many kids. I love teaching and showing children new and exciting things. I love finding children's interests and help them expand it through the many activities I offer at my facility.
My years of experience allow me to work easily in the ever changing dynamic environment of a daycare. While I focus on a child's individual needs, I also provide a group-environment which furthers social interaction of all children in my care. I do not "ware-house" kids. I interact with them through my a friendly learn-and-play style.
My spacious home which features several large rooms/areas, allows me to operate freely with kids of all ages. I have dedicated a large room for younger kids (equipped with baby gyms, baby beds and stimulating baby toys etc.). I do have the option to still provide a more age-appropriate setting for older ones. I can quickly transform areas for nap/rest periods to provide a quiet environment, where children of all ages can just relax, if necessary.
My back yard is a safe and clean play area. It features a lawn space burn off that extra energy and access to mutliple toys for all ages (playhouse, tricycles, scooters etc.).
The meals I serve always include fresh fruits and vegetables. I do offer formula for infants. My foods/drinks are in accordance with the CA State USDA Food-Program in order to promote healthy eating habits.
We are CA state licensed facility (CA lic#573615285). In accordance with regulations our staff is background checked. We are TB cleared and we are First Aid/CPR (infant/child/adult) current and certified. Our facility meets or exceeds all CA state licensing requirements to provide a safe and clean environment for your children.
